What is a Healthy Balance Diet?

Eating right food in right amount promotes health and beauty. A balanced diet helps in building strong immune system and keeps us away from the risk of various diseases. Also, there is a direct connection of health and beauty. Ladies, walk an extra mile for healthy balance diet. Stay healthy and look gorgeous. 



A wide range of foods are the constituent of a healthy diet as they fetch all nutrients and fiber required for our body. Let us know the five main food groups that must be part of our daily diet:

Carbohydrates: They are the main source of energy.  Include starchy foods in your diet. They release energy throughout the day to keep you active. Bread, pasta, cereals, rice, potatoes, etc come in this category. You should prefer wholegrain or whole meal varieties as they are high in fiber.

Fruit and vegetable (vitamins, mineral): Fruits and vegetables are source of many nutrients such as vitamins, mineral, and fiber. They play very important role in keeping your body strong and healthy. You can have dried frozen, tinned, and juiced fruit and vegetables as well. But fresh fruits and vegetable should be preferred.

Dairy/meat products (Protein): Dairy and meat products are important sources of protein, minerals (calcium, iron, zinc, iodine, chromium), and vitamins. Include dairy products wisely in your daily diet. You should focus on low fat variants.

Fat: Fat is an important part of your diet but you should limit its dose to avoid obesity and other diseases. It is always good to go for unsaturated fats. Saturated fat can give you instant energy but they lack important nutrients.

Water: 60 percent of human body and 70 percent of human brain are composed of water. Water is necessary to maintain proper bodily function. Drink 8-10 glass of water at least.

Recommended combination: 
45% to 65% - carbohydrates
10% to 35% - protein


20% to 35% - fat (not more than 10% of saturated fat and very little or no trans fat). 

A right combination of foods from the above mentioned categories will ensure you a good health. And always remember, health is beauty. You can look beautiful only when you have good health.
